About our Partner...
Econolite's longest standing strategic alliance is with Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (ISS) of St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1991, Econolite successfully introduced Autoscope and the concept of video vehicle detection to the traffic engineering community. Since 1991, Econolite and ISS have formed a seamless engineering, manufacturing and marketing liaison for the cooperative development of advanced machine vision algorithms, graphical user interface and embedded software, product manufacturing and new product development and market expansion. As a result, the Econolite/ISS strategic alliance boasts of a global market leading position in video vehicle detection, with more than 50,000 Autoscope cameras deployed in more than 55 countries and most North American cities.

Today, Econolite and Image Sensing Systems' joint mission is to sustain its competitive advantage by developing and marketing state-of-the-art, patented and proprietary machine vision products and services to satisfy the needs of city, county, state and federal traffic engineers, to reduce traffic congestion, and provide the enabling technology for the next generation of traffic management systems and select Homeland Security applications.
