Autoscope Tunnel Smoke Detector

Provides video-based smoke detection in tunnels for primary, secondary, and visual incident management from Autoscope or CCTV surveillance cameras

A tunnel smoke detector alarm provides primary or secondary notice of potential smoke threats inside the tunnel. The alarm and video pictures provide tunnel managers with another source of information to verify the extent of the situation.

Tunnel authorities also receive the proven benefits of standard Autoscope incident detection alarms and traffic data collection. The Tunnel Smoke Detector detects smoke anywhere in the camera's field-of-view, while concurrently detecting other incidents for traffic congestion mitigation.

Flexibility of installation means easier integration into existing tunnel sensor designs. For tunnels with existing surveillance cameras, video feeds connected to Autoscope can also enable automatic smoke detection. The Autoscope product family is ideal for meeting both surveillance and detection objectives.

Autoscope video detection systems install and configure easily for smoke and traffic detection applications. Video output and data may be shared within the control center or remotely by using a variety of communication standards. The flexibility and convenience of the Internet is also possible with the use of Econolite's Data Collection Management Service (DCMS.2).
