Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA)

As part of the Katella Avenue Traffic Signal Synchronization Project for the OCTA, Econolite Systems, Inc. (ESI) served as a sub-consultant as part of a multidisciplinary team to configure and install the Centracs Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) software at the Traffic Management Center (TMC) located in the Los Alamitos City Hall. By doing so, ESI helped bridge the traffic data communication gap by leveraging Centracs for the signalized intersections along the Katella Avenue corridor. In addition, Centracs helps the OCTA and the operators at the TMC oversee the 25 signalized intersections within the City of Los Alamitos. Communications at the intersection back to a central control via a fiber communication network that was installed at each intersection. The Centracs ATMS software provides the City with full capability to oversee its traffic network, recognize any downtime for signalized intersections, visually see CCTV footage, and modify timing plans in real-time.
