In 2022, Econolite joined forces with PTV Group. As part of our VISTRO Blitz, we are providing workshops and trial software to teach the benefits of using VISTRO for modeling, simulating, and reporting (TIA, Coord-reports, Etc.) We’re doing a tour in Texas, staring in Frisco after ITS America.
PTV Vistro Traffic Analysis
Develop skills for traffic studies, impact analysis & signal optimization
In this Vistro Traffic Analysis workshop, you will learn how to conduct traffic studies, optimize signals and evaluate development impacts all within PTV’s Vistro software. We will work with interactive examples of corridors, networks, and development scenarios.
Target Group
Traffic engineers and planners from the public or private sector who would like to experience successful signal timing and other traffic analysis projects in Vistro, whether new to the software or looking to increase efficiency in their work, including using Vistro as a stand-alone solution or exporting to Vissim for microsimulation modeling.
Prerequisites
A basic understanding of signal timing concepts is helpful, but not required.

- Network setup, including signals, roundabouts, two-way stops and all-way stops

- Operations analysis using the HCM 7th Edition
- Scenario management
- Signal timing optimization

- Development trip tracking including trip generation, distribution, and assignment
- Mitigation testing
- Graphical and tabular reporting, including the creation of report-ready figures

- Data export to Vissim for microsimulation
