The City’s Transportation Division, part of its Public Works Department, is responsible for overseeing a vast and complex roadway network. To support the optimal operation of its traffic signal infrastructure, the City awarded Econolite Systems, Inc. a multi-year contract to provide preventative, reactive, and improvement-related maintenance services. The contract spans three years, with an option to extend for an additional year, and covers both recurring and non-recurring maintenance needs.
Under this agreement, Econolite is delivering comprehensive maintenance services for the City’s deployed traffic control and related devices. This includes:
- Preventative maintenance to reduce the risk of component failure
- Reactive maintenance to promptly repair failed devices
- System upgrades and alterations to enhance safety and operational performance
Econolite’s responsibilities encompass the full range of traffic control infrastructure, including:
- Traffic and pedestrian signals
- Detection sensors
- Traffic controllers and cabinets
- Battery Backup Systems (BBS)
- Roadway signage, including Dynamic Message Signs (DMS)
- CCTV cameras
- Highway lighting
- Traffic control beacons
- Power systems supporting deployed traffic control components
