Ensuring a seamless mobility leadership transition is essential as we continue to scale our global operations and innovation strategy. Specifically, this strategic change at the executive level will strengthen our position as a provider of end-to-end intelligent transportation solutions.

Karlsruhe, Germany / Anaheim, CA – September 9, 2025 – Umovity today announced that Andy Myers, currently Chief Financial Officer, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer effective 1 October. Christian U. Haas will step down after six years as CEO and join the Advisory Board.

Over the past two years as CFO, Andy Myers has played a pivotal role in shaping Umovity’s strategy and operations. Prior to joining, he served as CFO of SUSE, the world’s largest independent open-source software company, and McLaren. His broad experience across both software-led and hardware-driven businesses ideally positions him to lead this mobility leadership transition and drive continued growth.

Executive Strategy and Innovation

“I am honoured to take the role of CEO at Umovity,” said Andy Myers. “With its outstanding team and best-in-class software and hardware expertise, Umovity is uniquely positioned to deliver innovative solutions to our customers that improve safety, sustainability, and mobility worldwide.”

Christian U. Haas will remain closely involved as a member of the Advisory Board. Since becoming CEO of PTV Group in 2019, Christian has led the transformation of the business into a cloud- and subscription-driven software leader. Because he spearheaded the transformative acquisitions of Econolite and Conundra, he laid the foundation for creating Umovity as a global Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) platform.

Future Growth and Advisory Support

Since the separation in 2023, Christian has led Umovity, establishing it as a global leader in holistic traffic planning, simulation, and advanced traffic hardware. Consequently, his presence on the Advisory Board ensures continuity during this mobility leadership transition. “Leading first PTV Group and then Umovity has been an extraordinary journey, and I am proud of what we have achieved together,” said Christian U. Haas.

Abbas Mohaddes, Chairman of the Advisory Board, commented: “We are grateful for Christian’s leadership in helping to build Umovity into a leading global ITS platform. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Andy in his new role as CEO. Furthermore, his deep expertise makes him the ideal successor to drive Umovity’s next phase of growth.”

Therefore, this mobility leadership transition reflects our commitment to long-term stability and excellence. By uniting our leadership expertise with our technical capabilities, we empower communities to build safer, smarter, and more sustainable systems. In conclusion, Umovity remains dedicated to shaping the future of global mobility.
