ALBUQUERQUE, NM – ITS Integration & ATMS Upgrade
The City of Albuquerque needed to modernize its aging Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS). Econolite Systems installed the Centracs ATMS platform and integrated the city’s existing 400 traffic signal controllers to support improved signal operations and traffic monitoring.
Project Overview
This Albuquerque project replaced outdated infrastructure with a scalable traffic management solution. Econolite’s team installed 70 new traffic controllers, replaced 15 signal cabinets, and upgraded existing controller firmware to ensure compatibility and performance.
In addition, the project developed detailed graphical displays for all 400 intersections and integrated 100 CCTV cameras into the Centracs ATMS. These enhancements give traffic engineers real-time visibility and improved control over traffic flows.
